Smudge specialises in charcoal drawings, using a technique of multiple brushed layers of crushed charcoal and fixative, to create gentle blends of tone. My work aims to create a photo realistic look while retaining a true artistic feel, producing an atmosphere of both subtle movement and tranquility.
With previously no formal art training, I discovered art after experiencing some troubling times in my life and since developing my skills via a Level 2 Diploma in Creative Techniques, it has opened up a whole new world to me, which I use to inspire my work.
